First let me say that the staff at Quarter Moon is AWESOME! Kind, Loyal, Responsible, Funny….the cream of the crop…the best of the best. And now to top that off, we’ve had the pleasure of working with Mandy…a Fashion Merchandising intern from FSU. Mandy wanted to experience working in a locally owned business. She had great ideas…many of which were new to me. She introduced me to the “lookbook”. I guess everyone else knew what a lookbook was…but it was a new concept to me, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. Mandy was able to present our merchandise in a way that really showed it off. So creatively styled and beautifully photographed. Three cheers to you Mandy! Great job! It was great to see the process from start to finish! Thanks too for all the models who participated! We appreciate all your work and time!

We have been so busy unpacking, unpacking and unpacking. So many new items that we are really excited about! We have a few new lines of jewelry that you will not find anywhere else in town! When you stop by, ask to see the new Ann Egan Jewelry (each piece is handcrafted and so unique) check out the new Lithograph styles and be dazzled new line of Firefly jewelry. Firefly is made in Guatemala and employs over 60 previously impoverished villagers.

New lucious smelling candles have arrived in the past few weeks!. We carry a great variety of candles that are clean burning and use essential oils. They have longer burn times than most candles. Nothing adds to the atmosphere of the evening like a candle (and a good bottle of wine!)

Today was going to be an ordering and website work day for me (the owner). The holidays are upon us and we are still looking for those special somethings to add to our already bursting shop. Alas, one of the staff called in sick, so instead I get to enjoy being up front and hang out with everyone who stops in to browse. Orders can wait…health cannot. Get better soon! It’s a blustery day…the wind is blowing and it’s pretty chilly for Tallahassee . Everyone is looking at scarves! Let me tell you, we have a gazillion to choose from right now. Now that we are here, it’s hard to know exactly where to begin. We wonder what you might really be interested in learning about us. Do you want to know about our products and why we choose them…about new arrivals…how to tie a scarf? Basic things like holiday hours…or bigger things such as our concerns as a locally owned business…or our hopes for our community and the world? I guess we will just get started and see where it goes.
